This premiere BFA Prep Musical Theatre Class is designed to prepare and support high school students for the rigorous audition process and training required for Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) Musical Theatre programs. This class will focus on acting, singing, and dancing, while also covering audition techniques, repertoire selection, and industry expectations. Students will meet weekly in person to explore and prepare their college audition material which will culminate in a final mock college audition with guest professors from the country’s most esteemed BFA Musical Theatre programs. Personalized and valuable individual feedback will be given to each student.
Advanced College Prep will also give each student professional guidance on how to prepare for a Musical Theatre BFA audition while developing their technique skills in voice, acting and dance. Instructors and panelists from Broadway and beyond will help each student choose and prepare their audition material while researching and
targeting prospective schools. This class will connect each student with professional advice and guidance to assist them through their BFA audition journey.
Bonus! - Students will have an additional workshop with Broadway veteran and University of Michigan professor Jessica Bogart. This workshop will take place on May 21st from 3:30-5:30.
